Effective October 5, 2026. This policy covers the MoneyTools website, its calculators, market tools and educational guides.

Calculator inputs and search

MoneyTools does not require an account or a connection to your bank, brokerage or cryptocurrency wallet. Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser. The calculator code does not send these values to a MoneyTools server or save them between visits. Site search matches your query against the site's content in your browser.

Use approximate figures rather than identifying financial information. Do not enter account numbers, passwords, wallet recovery phrases or other secrets into any tool.

Browser storage

Your light or dark theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage under the key “theme.” This setting is not a financial profile. See the Cookie Policy. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data; doing so resets your theme preference. Calculator values are held in page memory, not saved to this storage.

Technical information and service providers

Website hosting and delivery providers receive technical information needed to serve pages, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. This information may be used to deliver the website, maintain availability, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. Error reporting may include the error message, stack trace and page context.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Requests to that service disclose technical request information to Google. Google's handling of that information is described in its Privacy Policy. External links are governed by the destination site's policies.

Advertising, analytics and disclosure

MoneyTools uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and general usage, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this information under Google's Privacy Policy. Calculator inputs and results are not sent to Google Analytics. MoneyTools does not include advertising trackers. It does not implement a sale of calculator inputs or share them for targeted advertising. Hosting, security and error-reporting services may still process technical information as described above.

Information held by service providers may also be disclosed when required by law or to address fraud, security incidents or threats to the website.

Retention and security

Calculator values remain in page memory during your visit. Your saved theme preference remains until you change it or clear site data. Technical records held by service providers follow their retention practices; MoneyTools does not specify a verified retention period for those records. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can clear browser storage, limit third-party requests through browser settings and choose not to enter sensitive information. Depending on your location and the information actually held, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or object to its use. Calculator values that are not transmitted cannot be retrieved by MoneyTools on your behalf.

Children and international visitors

MoneyTools is general financial education, not a service directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly request their personal information. Service providers may process technical information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ.

Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date. Review it when returning to the site, particularly if new services or contact options have been added.
