How calculators and guides are created and maintained.
Purpose
MoneyTools publishes calculators and guides to explain how common money, crypto and forex calculations work. Content is educational and general; it is not personalized advice.
How calculators are built
Each calculator uses a published, standard formula, shown on its page together with its assumptions and a worked example. Calculation code is covered by automated tests that compare results against independently worked test cases. Prices and exchange rates are always entered by you; MoneyTools does not supply live market data.
How guides are written
Guides explain concepts in plain language, link to the relevant calculator and use clearly labelled example numbers. Every worked example is recalculated before publication. Guides avoid predicting returns, recommending products or suggesting how much to risk.
Review and limitations
Content is checked for calculation accuracy and clarity by the MoneyTools team. It is not reviewed by a licensed financial adviser, accountant or attorney, and no such credential is claimed. Tax rules, contribution limits and lender practices change, so verify important figures with an official source or a qualified professional.
Independence
MoneyTools currently has no advertisers, sponsors or affiliate relationships that influence content. If that changes, relationships will be disclosed on the affected pages.
Updates
Pages are revised when an error is found, a formula needs clarification or a rule referenced by a tool changes. See the Corrections Policy for how mistakes are handled.
