High School GPA Calculator
Calculate weighted or unweighted high school GPA from your classes, grades and credits.
Use CalculatorA simple GPA calculator for junior high and middle school. Pick a letter grade for each class to see your GPA on the 4.0 scale — no plus or minus grades needed.
Enter each class (for example Math, English, Science and Social Studies), choose the grade from A to F, and leave credits at 1 unless your school gives some classes more weight.
Middle schools usually don't weight classes, so this jr high GPA calculator uses the plain 4.0 scale: A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, F = 0.
Heading to high school? The High School GPA Calculator adds plus/minus grades and weighted Honors and AP classes. See all Grade & GPA Calculators.
GPA = Σ(grade points × credits) ÷ Σ(credits)
If every class has the same credit, your GPA is simply the average of your grade points.
Some middle schools use plus/minus grades. If yours does, the high school version handles them.
Illustrative example
Grades of A in Math, B in English, A in Science and B in Social Studies give (4 + 3 + 4 + 3) ÷ 4 = 3.50.
