What Discover's official pages say
The details below were checked against Discover's official website on October 16, 2026. Products and terms change, so confirm everything on discover.com/personal-loans before applying.
- Lender: Discover Personal Loans are made by Capital One, N.A.; Discover is a division of Capital One, N.A. (terms and conditions).
- Loan amounts: $2,500 to $40,000.
- Rate type: fixed rate, so the monthly payment stays the same if paid on time (FAQs).
- Fees: Discover states it charges no origination fee and advertises "no fees of any kind." Read the loan agreement for the full fee terms.
- Checking your rate: Discover says you can check your rate before applying with no impact to your credit score.
- Minimum requirements listed: individual or household annual income of at least $25,000, age over 18, and a valid US Social Security number. Meeting them does not guarantee approval.
APR range and loan terms: we could not verify a current APR range or term range from Discover's public pages, so we don't list them here. Your rate depends on your credit, application and chosen term. Check your rate directly with Discover.
