Invested vs. value at each purchase

How it works

List one purchase price per period. Each period, the recurring amount buys coins at that period's price.

The final value uses the current price you enter, or the last price in your list.

Formula & methodology

Coins = Σ (Amount ÷ Price per period)
Average price = Total invested ÷ Coins
Value = Coins × Current price

The initial amount is invested together with the first recurring purchase.

Illustrative example

Six monthly $100 purchases

Buying $100 at 40,000, 38,000, 35,000, 37,000, 42,000 and 45,000 plus $500 at the first price gives an average below the simple average of those prices, because fixed dollars buy more coins when the price is lower.
